Merry Christmas!!!

여로분. 메리 크리스마스!!! It’s been a while. I was so busy preparing for christmas. Going to every shop i can go to see if there’s a perfect gift to give to someone you love. 재 발 너무 아팠어요. 죽었어요.

Anyway, i also got a present.ㅎㅎ. its none other than the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. Oh~yeah~~~. I’ve always wanted to buy this precious thing but you know, no money. T_T.

My sister and my mom decided to buy me the note since i’m always talking about how great the device is. And it’s also because i passed this semester. I thought i was going to be debarred. But thank God. I passed. It’s also a super late 18th birthday gift. (Im almost 19 next month). Actually, i’m using it now, making this blog posts. It’s so amazing, 최고.

So, we’ve searched amd searched everywhere. Every mall near our place. No luck. I accepted the fact that it was already phased out. What do i expect. It was released 2 years ago. And i don’t want to buy other tablet. Why? Because, this has a pen. A stylus. So, whenever i found something useful while im watching korean shows, i can just jot it down. Did i mention that it has a multi window feature? Yes, there is. So, i can open a pdf form and can take down notes in a single screen. So, I dont have to close what i’m watching and open another app anymore. Isn’t that amazing?

Since i’m only relying on the free stuff the internet offers. This is the best tablet for me. I can write using the stylus just like taking down notes on a notebook.

I’m just really excited talking about the tablet. Can you imagine it? We actually found one and they said it’s the last stock they had. I was going to choose the wifi edition only cause it’s cheap than buying the wifi+3g editiom. But guess what, we bought the wifi+3g in a price of P14,500. Thats the same price as the wifi edition.

Now studying will be really fun.before the vacation ends im going to learn a lot.기대 해 주세요. 재가 공부하는 것 잘 할게요. 🙂

I was cooking for dinner last time. (fresh lumpia, My favorite :p) While I was cutting the vegetables, I always ask “whats the korean of this?” so here’s what I found out.

Carrots – 당근
Cabbage – 배추(thanks to 유재석, he sold cabbage in infinity challenge before so I remember it)
onion – 양파
garlic – 마늘
Tomato – 토마토
pepper – 후추
Salt – 소금
Tofu – 두부

I don’t really like cooking but mixing it with Korean learning, it’s fun. Weird, right? 🙂

Hardship

It’s really hard to explain grammars. Do you know the feeling when you understand the lesson but when you try to explain it, you can’t. That’s what I’m feeling when I’m making my notes. I can’t explain it but I really understand the concept. I can even make my own examples. Urrrgh. So hard.

~는/은/을 것

Making a verb to a noun. 것 means “thing”, “object.” so when it’s combined, it can mean “one that something” or ” one who something.”

~(으)ㄴ is added when you want to make a descriptive verb an adjective

예쁜 옷 – pretty clothes
작은 바지 – small pants

But what if you want the action verb to become an adjective like

(present ~는)
The girl who cook – 요리하는 여자
The boy who sings – 노래하는 남자

(past ~(으)ㄴ)
The girl who cooked – 요리하는 여자
The boy who sang – 노래하는 남자

(future ~(으)ㄹ)
The girl who will cook – 요리할 여자
The boy who will sing – 노래할 남자

Food that I eat – 내가 음식 먹는 것
Food that I ate – 내가 음식 먹은 것
Food that I will eat – 내가 음식 먹을 것

Present, Past and Future

PRESENT TENSE

A/V + 아/어/해요

-아요 is used when the vowel of the word ends in ㅏ or ㅗ.

-어요 is sed when the vowel of the word ends other than ㅏ or ㅗ.

-해요 is used when the adj. or the verb ends in 하다 form. Just remove the 하다 and replace it with 해요. It comes from 하+ 여요, then it’s shortened to 해요.

PAST TENSE

A/V + 았/었/했어요

-the principle here is just the same with the present tense. 았 is used when the vowel in the word ends in ㅏ or ㅗ.

-었 is used when the vowel in the word ends other than ㅏ or ㅗ.

-했 is used in 하다 forms.

FUTURE TENSE

V + (으)ㄹ 거예요

EXAMPLES:

•가다 – to go

가요 – go
갔어요 – went
갈 거예요 – will go

•먹다 – to eat

먹어요 – eat
먹었어요 – ate
먹을 거예요 – will eat

•보다 – to see

봐요 – see
봤어요 – saw
볼 거예요 – will see

•하다 – to do

해요 – do
했어요 – did
할 거예요 – will do

• in present and past tense, just remove the 요 at the end to make it informal. For the future tense, replace the 예요 to 야 to make it informal.

왼 and 오른

I’m always confuse with these two words.

왼 is left and 오른 is right.

왼손 – left hand
오른손 – right hand

왼쪽 – left side
오른쪽 – right side

왼눈 – left eye
오른눈 – right eye

왼팔 – left arm
오른팔 – right arm

Beginning

I’m finally starting my own blog after several attempts. This will serves as a journal in my korean learning, photography, sketches, but mostly korean. i can understand little korean but when i try to make my own sentences, i can’t do it.

so, please help me in learning korean.
